One of Tim’s primary roles in his 22 years as a newspaper journalist and non-profit publicist involved daily copy and content editing assignments. In his most recent role as executive editor of Turley Publications, Tim produced three thick weekly newspapers as their primary editor on the same deadline cycle while also managing a company-wide editorial staff of 10 full-time editors and 30 reporters.
An expert in various style usage manuals, Tim is adept at not only massaging the leads of any document or headline and course correcting grammar and syntax, but also finding holes and errors in the overall message and body of work. He excels at suggesting to authors ways to improve their writing quality, transitions, quotes and overall sourcing.
Some of Tim’s more recent examples of copy editing work can be viewed via flipbook pdf and jpeg documents below.
